Ironhold Command

Ironhold Command is a tile-based strategy game that asks you to plan a few turns ahead. You claim territory, manage a handful of resources, and push against an AI that doesn't cheat but does punish sloppy expansion.

It's not the deepest strategy game out there, but it's tuned well for a phone. Everything is readable on a small screen, and matches wrap up in twenty to thirty minutes. There's a campaign with escalating scenarios and a skirmish mode when you just want to mess around.

We appreciated that it runs offline and doesn't nag you with timers or energy bars. You play at your own pace, and the game is happy to let you sit and think.
