About

Pinekit Play started as a shared spreadsheet between a few friends who kept recommending each other games during long commutes. At some point the list got too big, so we turned it into a proper site. Nothing fancy — just people who actually play the games before writing about them.

Our focus is offline mobile games. We got tired of downloading something promising only to hit a wall demanding a login and a constant connection. So every game we cover has to work fully offline, or at least offline enough that a metro tunnel won't ruin your session.

We pick games by playing them. Someone on the team spends real hours with a title before it earns a review. If a game bores us after twenty minutes, we say so. If it keeps us up past midnight, we say that too.

There's no algorithm deciding our ratings and no publisher whispering in our ear. The scores are our honest opinion, and you're free to disagree — plenty of readers do, and we love the emails.
