Emberwold Tales

Emberwold Tales is the kind of RPG that respects your time. Battles are turn-based and quick, party management is simple, and you can save anywhere. We ran it in airplane mode for a whole flight without a hiccup.

What surprised us was the writing. The main quest about a broken village finding its footing again is genuinely touching in places, and the side characters have more personality than most mobile RPGs bother with. Combat leans on elemental weaknesses, so there's real thinking involved once enemies get tougher.

The pixel art is charming and the difficulty curve is fair. If you like games where you can play for ten minutes or two hours and both feel worthwhile, this one's a keeper.
